2020 Music:
The night will feature a musical journey weaving the history of bluegrass through old-time music, bluegrass, country, newgrass, jam grass and beyond. Performed by some of the nation’s best pickers:

Tyler Grant-National Flatpicking Champion Tyler Grant is an internationally recognized guitar virtuoso, songwriter, vocalist, producer and leader of the band Grant Farm®. Tyler has appeared at most major US festivals and performed thousands of concerts and guitar workshops worldwide. He was an original member of the Emmitt-Nershi Band and a sideman for Abigail Washburn, April Verch and Adrienne Young

Jon Stickley is known for his rapid-fire flatpicking, and his ability to blend different musical elements from across the board to create a sound that is all his own. Based in Asheville, North Carolina, this Durham native has been in various bands throughout the years, including Colorado’s legendary Broke Mountain, and several Asheville based bands. The Jon Stickley Trio has become his primary focus, and the vessel through which he presents his original music.

Andy Thorn – Since being drafted from the Emmitt-Nershi Band to join Leftover Salmon, Andy Thorn’s powerful, driving, banjo picking has helped carry the band to new heights. Despite his young age, the North Carolina native brings a wealth of experience to the banjo seat in Leftover Salmon. Thorn first began playing banjo at age 12 after purchasing one at his neighbor’s yard sale and has not stopped picking since.

Special guest Scotty Stoughton is the founder of WinterWonderGrass and front man for band Bonfire Dub, and that’s just the beginning of his impressive list of endeavors. An inspiring force in the music world, Scotty is dedicated to crafting festivals, events, and experiences that highlight community and interpersonal connection. Scotty values music as more than a platform where rhythm meets beat: It’s an expression that sets the stage for a life worth living, a vision worth having and a dream worth creating.
