National Mentoring Month 2017

During the month of January national attention is given to awareness about the impact and the need for mentors, as well as how each of us—individuals, businesses, government agencies, schools, faith communities and nonprofits—can work together to increase the number of mentors and assure brighter futures for our young people.  Honor the mentors in your life – pay it forward, be a mentor!   Check out what’s going on during the month, and we hope you will get involved.

Thank Your Mentor – For the third year in a row, Partners has teamed up with the Steamboat Pilot and Today for a community wide tribute to mentors.  From January 4th through the 18th you can submit a photo and note of thanks to the mentor(s) in your life.  Submission can be viewed here and will be printed in the Steamboat Today on January 19th – National Thank Your Mentor Day.  Stop by the Partners office to write a message on the chalk board and get your photo taken, or submit a photo of you holding a thank you message to mymentor@partnersrouttcounty.org.

Flamingo Fundraiser:  Flock your friends for Partners!  This is a fun way to help bring awareness to Partners and the important youth mentoring services we provide.  Learn more here.

Diversity Day in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. – Join our AmeriCorps School-Based Mentors and their students on Sun, January 15 from 12-3 for a special event at Bud Werner Memorial Library.  The event will include booths from different organizations in the community along with projects from each of the local Routt County schools.
